I haven't entered the challenge but I have looked though it - a lot of fine entries and nothing I can see that screams DQ - many of the long time members are so skilled in basic editing (and composing well in camera) that it could look like they did more. Not sure if that is what you are referring to but just posting my nickels worth .. it's also a good reminder to remember not to vote down an entry that looks like it's breaking the rules ... just send it to SC.
Oh man, come on, I was talking in general. I made this mistake the first time I voted, so I'm sure that someone has learned this lesson, but at the same time I'm quite sure that many people don't pay attentiom when voting - that's all. :)
