Yeah, I don't expect much from mine, I think people will look at it and think "huh? that's not garbage?". But it's all in good fun, this is my first competition entry so I'm excited anyhow :)

wasnt just do a closeup on garbage it was turn garbage into art.... some great examples and a lot as i predicted and i did shoot some myself and rejected them of a piece of trash on the floor
Silly me, I actually thought this one would do realy well, dare I say ribbon... It took me about 4 hours to set up... I guess you guys aren't looking close enough, I don't know, for you aren't leaving any comments, and I doubt you will!!!
The part that gets me is it meets the challenge, it is a well composed photo, it is appealing; Why is it doing so poorly??? It is not a 4.xxx photo.
I'm with Giles_uk on this one. Too many narrow minded...SHEESH...
Maybe I should've taken a picture of a can or a tire, Or maybe I should've explained myself in the title...

that might change. There have been problems with the site. I trieed posting comments but I think they didn't go through. I think I am not alone in that.

The photo itself is the art...I'm not sure what you are getting at?
By the way...careful on calling out certain photos...you're pretty close to violating the rules

actually it sounds quite clearly like the opposite of what you suggest.
'turn garbage into art by taking a photograph', not 'by making garbage into art and then photography it'.
then, I enjoy people exploring possibilities and posting good images, not being compliant to a necessarily short description, so I score high both interpretations and others too, if the image is good.
