American Samoa got to be first ... by officially designating themselves as being West of the International Date Line rather than East as previously, thereby skipping Friday altogether -- at midnight Thursday it magically became Saturday morning.

Still a little over 4 hours left in the year for me, but may not be up that long this year. Been fighting off what feels like flu symptoms for a few days, and not sure I'm winning that battle. Still in a good mood though and I want to wish everyone at DPC a safe and wonderful New Year! See you all on the flip side! :)
