What does the extra rules "You may optionally combine up to 5 unique captures in a non-overlapping sequence (think polyptych)" mean? I am guessing it means you can combine up to 5 side by side images in the photo?

Yes, that's what it means. Think collage.

I missed that extra rule. It makes this challenge much more interesting. Now if I can just come up with a decent idea.

I am having a lot of fun with this challenge. Spent an hour playing with old toys, setting them up in storylike ways. My mom thought I was crazy, sitting on the floor surrounded by legos as a 21 year old. But I had a blast.
I figure I will take pictures of a different toy each day and see what I end up liking best.

if youve got a mac in applications you should have comic life might give some ideas to layout etc
