I like what you did with it - very interesting image. Just wonder what it would look like if you took out the bottom-left corner of the white border to further enhance the road merging in the two pics. Just a thought :-)

btw - what is the speed per hour on the autobahn now?
There is no speed limit, but if you are in a reck at 130km (80mph)or over you are the one who is blamed. I have often been passed by people flying well over 240km (about 145mph). There are some points of the autobahn that do have speed limits, and they are normally 120km (60mph).
There isn't a single place in Iceland where it is leagal to drive over 90 km/h (56 miles per hour). Would love getting on the autobahn, just to get some adrenaline kicks :)
About your picture...in the nicest way possible...it's horrible! I know it is abstract and all, but come on, you could have done a better job than that!
Well I think to be a little more helpful that just saying its horrible I'd have to say first that I like the idea.
Then I'd say that I'd have: blacked out the grey hills/mountains in the inside picture to help it flow into the outside picture, done close to the same thing w/ the road area, but done it to the outside vs. inside, added some lighting or something to the other lane. Right now it looks like everybody is trying to escape something since there aren't any returning cars...
Overall, I like the pic. Just need a bit more Photoshop-loving ;)
