The best thing you could do is print a few of the photos out, and then match the output colors to that of your monitor. That way you are calibrated to their printing process.
Thanks Richard, I didn't see your post till I'd sent my last one. I can't use my printer for now as my husband ordered cheaper substitute ink (after I'd told him I wanted Epsom ink), the colours have been off since.
never used mpix, but i tried using color calibration from a few laces. i ordered the same picture with and without to compare. All were bad. i wont use it ever again.
I ended up ordering a test batch of the smaller prints with color cornection, to see how they turn out before doing the final order. Probably the safest thing for me to do now
Do not use the smaller prints to calibrate your monitor to their process cause then you will have to use the correction process all the time. I meant work with an uncorrected print to calibrate your equipment that way you didnt need to use it.
Hmmm, ok point taken. I can always get some other 'uncorrected' prints ordered to compare? That way I should be able to tell what to do. I really need a new printer for Xmas :-)
