I am afraid copycats will get the top levels... there are some "creative" photos rather than poster copies here... and I hope creatives will win a ribbon or two.

Here I thought I was a fan, and one of my favorite movies Big Fish I had no idea Tim Burton had anything to do with until looking through the entries. Looks like some good ones in there wish there was more. :-)

A few ones are great (even if I was expecting much more) but almost half of the entries are DNMC or shoehorns. My score is well after 6 but after the Defining Feature challenge disaster (a whole point lost) I don't wanna predict anything. ETA: but I can predict the winner...

I disagree, the challenge was to take a shot inspired by a Tim Burton film... Inspired being the key word here. I saw nothing that was a shoehorn
I'm curious how many people are thinking the same thing -- DNMC or shoehorn.
Perhaps they don't know the movies.
My shot is currently in the low 4s. However, I can show you almost the same shot in a movie. (yup, I copied instead of being original).
So why the low 4s? Either it's not creepy or people don't know scene in the movie. Either way, I'm betting that many people are thinking it's a shoehorn.
It doesn't really matter, I just entered because I wanted something in. But when it's "inspired by a time burton film", and when the shot is actually very similar to a film, the ones and twos are harsh when it fits the challenge. I was at 3.9 at around 20 votes. :(
By the way, with 34 entries, this challenge should be qualify for ducky ribbon for everyone LOL

My shot is sitting at 6.6xxx after 14 votes which is my best start for...possibly ever.
That ribbon usually indicates that you didn't get any comments during the challenge. I just woke up and haven't read the whole thread yet so maybe now it has another meaning! :-)
I don't wanna talk about DNMC anymore because I don't wanna influence votes but a few of them are DNMC without any doubts and I will show it to you at the end :)
