I had the awesome opportunity to photograph a home water birth a couple of weeks ago. I'd love to hear any of your thoughts these images. What sort of emotions do they provoke for you as a viewer? Are they boring? Nostalgic? Powerful? Amateur? Or do they just make you queasy? Any comments or critiques would be greatly appreciated (and will be reciprocated!). Thank you!!
PS, The baby was 10 lbs 4oz! Born without any intervention or medication! SHEESH!

B.t.w - good choice on the black and white. I shot my daughters birth by caesarian section in colour and it's like something out of Saving Private Ryan.

I shot my niece's birth earlier this year and I learned my lesson with that one! Black and white seems to make it a little easier on the eyes (and stomach)!

What is missing is relief and happy smiles in the end, I guess they came just a little bit later... :) The family that invited you will cherish them forever.
Wow, 10lb 4 oz, exactly what my niece was when she was born. I know the mother will remember all those emotions/pains while looking at the photos. My son was 9 lb 15 oz and I HAD to have medications, so kudos to this lady. B & W is suited for this occasion.
