I am totally lost in how to use it - how do you use it? All I got so far is Kindle Cloud in Safari - what is then the point of having Kindle App?

I played with it a while ago. It worked fine, but I still prefer my Kindle for that and haven't bothered with the iPad since then.

Thinking back, I got the app, hooked up to Amazon through it, and had access to all my library.
So I'm not really sure what to suggest, but just wanted to reassure you that it CAN work rather well.

Thanks! It is working now but I cannot download books from Ipad, I have to use the PC. A rather odd idea.

You can use safari on the ipad to buy kindle books and specify deliver to your ipad (you can still download the book on kindle / pc / smart phone etc) by going to archived items. I also prefer reading books on the kindle generally but some books with pics are nice on the ipad
