A bit of a litteral interpretation, yep :)
But on the other hand, aside of depicting the spiral or suggesting its shape, the real classical practise of using it as a composing approach is far more complex, subtle and elaborated. When it's really well done, it works wonderfully but in almost undetectable way. Most of it is over my head and would require to analyse quite a few classics from Leonardo and the likes, so I am not surprised that more litteral approaches did better. Anyway, there were pretty good images both in the litteral rappresentations and the 'composed with' ones, including yours, so I am quite happy of what I have seen :) |
