Northern Californians - lets get the ball rolling and start off the 10th anniversary celebrations.
Now, you've all said you would like to see my gallery - here's your chance. It is in almost the exact geographic center of San Francisco and we can explore from there in any direction. Five minutes from the Twin Peaks Overlook, five minutes from the mysterious Glen Canyon, Not far from the Castro and Ocean Beach is just down the road.
If it rains, we can either hang out at the gallery, or come on over to my house and annoy the cat.
Question: Would you rather meet on
Saturday - January 14
Sunday - January 15
that's the first consideration, so let's determine that right away. Either in this thread or a PM will work too.
I think I might be interested in this, it sounds fun. Would it be an all day, or? I'd prefer Saturday, since I'd love to to some SF night shooting as well and Sunday would be harder for that, due to work on Monday.

well, right now, we're working on a preference for either Saturday the 14th or Sunday the 15th.
So, I will put you down for a Saturday preference. Let's see how it goes for a while as others respond.
And yes, San Francisco is wonderful for night shooting. (but you knew that)
Grand to see Philip Dyer's name on these pages again.
Phillip, you know I shall look forward to seeing you in January, if not before.
GeneralE, awwww, please try. Jeepers, you have two months of planning time!!
Added inducement(s) we can compare Priuses (Priui?)
and you can photograph my license plate for your collection.
And besides, if Isaac can come too, we can all see how this little guy has grown.
Maybe time to bump this to get a little preliminary Northern California enthusiasm going.
remember, we are determining availability for a GTG to celebrate DPC's 10th Anniversary.

Last we looked Saturday had a slight lead, except for the uncertainty about the 49er playoff dates.
Right -- I'd rather be in Oakland (with a TV) for that ... otherwise I can make either day, and I just realized it's a 3-day weekend for most ...
Is there any way to check on the schedule at this point? Or does some team still have to win or lose to see if the game - of course there will be one - is on Saturday or Sunday?
Heretical, I know, but I have not followed them this year.
Then, what time?
My thought is to meet at the gallery (678 Portola Drive - SF 94127) t 9 or 10am, check out the big overlook on Twin Peaks, and then decide from there as to what to do next. Some thoughts might be along the ocean, or even wander through Glen Canyon, a bit of wilderness in the heart of San Francisco that most people don't even know about. It's moments away from here.
In any event, our starting point is within easy reach of just about any part of the City, so it shouldn't be difficult to decide on a venue.
