using photoshop, thats how i expected it to be done but i cant seem to find a way to "shrink" my selection. i know it has to be able to be done. |
You can't "Contract" a selection when you've used the "Select All" function.
Try this (this will make a border 16 pixels in from the edge):
-Select > SelectAll
-Select > Modify > Border = 16 pixels
-Select > Invert Selection
-Stroke
If you want the border further in from the edge, you can use the Select > Modify > Contract command once you have inverted the border selection and the marquee is no longer at the margin of the image to shrink the selection by as much as necessary. |
