Ya know...when I was thinking about the challenge, I wondered how many people would not understand what a right angle was exactly or the voters wouldn't care if it was a right angle or not. :) I've learned of late that there is NO interpretation of the challenge other than the 'slap in the face' literal/obvious, lol. No one burns up excess brain cells voting! Ugh!
Yup, you are right. That's my bad, I wrongly interpret it after looking at the images from google link. Since I just actively here 5 months, I lack of experience with some of challenge description. Thanks for the link, cheers!
as a result of flu, currently in bed with fever so forgive me if this doesnt make sense but, ive not been out the house so didnt enter this, but some people seem to just see right angle and think thats ok, the challenge was Create a photograph where right angles produce the strength of the image.
so the right angle is the strength of the image i.e the main aspect but ppl seem to think a little right angle in background was ok or no true right angles at all, oblique angles are not right angles people

by interpretations what do you mean, ppl should vote on a picture even if it doesnt meet the challenge or allow the ppl who shoe horn the challenge to fit the nice picture they have rather than having the picture for the challenge?
Are we sure that everyone understood the meaning of right angle? As a non-mother-tongue I didn't get the real meaning and I asked my WPL team. I had thought of a picture taken from the right, or of a right angle (something like 'the correct angle') even if it didn't make sense.
When they explained me, I felt stupid but it's what happens when you come from another country :)

Lol, I was pretty happy with the shot just not the score. Oh well after voting, if it contributes like this, I will need to ask to see if it was the shot or processing or just a weak interpretation of the challenge. I want to learn from my stuff. I sm very curious how my golden ratio entry will do though as that is the entry I am most proud of.
I am not a DNMC fanatic. I almost never calculate it in my voting, unless i find people are being obnoxious. However, I have thrown out the challenge instructions in this one and I am going to vote for the best "photo" almost as if it were a free study. People just don't seem to know or care about what a right angle is.
Personally, my entry is being lambasted!(4.1!) -which gives me faith in the DPC votership, because its crap!
