Sure it puts additional wear on the shutter, but look at it this way. A shutter that's designed to last 100,000 operations may fail in the first 30,000, or may go 300,000. There's really no way to know. If it goes, have it replaced, and don't look back. It means you're getting good use out of that camera body!
