Clinton's speech was great, and not merely on style but substance, too.
Clinton laid out the choice between Kerry and Bush... Democrats and Republicans in such clear and common sense terms.
Here are some lines that still echo in my mind:
* Strength and wisdom are not conflicting values -- they go hand in hand.
* During the Vietnam War, many young men -- including the current president, the vice president and me -- could have gone to Vietnam but didn't. John Kerry came from a privileged background and could have avoided it too. Instead he said, send me.
* We Americans must choose for President one of two strong men who both love our country, but who have very different world views: Democrats favor shared responsibility, shared opportunity, and more global cooperation. Republicans favor concentrated wealth and power, leaving people to fend for themselves and more unilateral action.
On style, Clinton was brilliant... based on substance, Clinton has it just right -- to me, the choice couldn't be clearer.

Think Clinton is one of the most respected American president outside USA, well at least in Europe. On the other hand I think Bush is the least respected.

I think Bill Clinton has always been an excellent speaker. I may not agree with him, but his is very good at getting across his message.
His wife on the other hand gets on my nerves terribly, I could not listen to that woman.
Agreed Billy Boy gave an excellent performance. Full of lies and misinformation, but an excellent speach, none the less. I loved the part about how he felt guilty about getting an extra $5000 in tax relief. My question: if you feel so guilty, then why don't you SEND IT BACK??? There's no law that says you can't pay extra tax if you're so inclined. I always loved the time they discovered how the best the Clinton's could do for charitable donations on their tax returns was to write off giving Bill's underwear to the Salvation Army. Classic.
And also with Hillary. She always sounds like a shrill, nagging housewife, screaming at everything that moves. No wonder Monica was so tempting...

Oh, and did you hear? He won three purple hearts too!!! Doesn't qualify him for president though...

Here's where he lost it big time. The iron fist of the DNC said "no Bush bashing", so he had to hide it and sneak it in. So instead of just bashing Bush, he bashed the better half of America. I was offended by that false characterization he made of me. I just hope it gets more coverage in the liberal press. Oops, what am I thinking...

So now, instead of "vote for John Kerry because he's not George Bush", we've moved to "vote for John Kerry because Bill Clinton's a really slick speaker". Still doesn't say much for John F'ing Kerry.

All the more reason to vote for Bush. I want a president who represents me, not one who appeases all the America-hating countries around the world.
And before you say it's Bush that's hated, not America, there was just as much hatred of America in Europe during the Clinton administration as there is now. I faced it myself, as did various members of my family. Everyone's making hay about US athelets supposedly being instructed to say they're from Canada - my sister, who's a flight attendant in Europe, was faced with that 5 years or more ago. So this is nothing new.

I dislike haters because I never hate anyone ,just happen to disagree !
I think you've shown quite a bit of hatred towards the Walton's (Walmart) in the past, not to mention the rich in general and the leadership at Exxon in particular.
And this is a forum, not your personal soap box. If you don't want anyone to talk back to you, than talk to your kids or start a blog somewhere.
