For the last few months I've been watching the site and I've seen what I use to love about it. The "friendly feel" seems to be back. When I left about 6 years ago, things had gotten kind of nasty. Folks fighting, arguing, generally just plain mean.
But that seems to have been a passing phase and the helpful, good folks seem to have taken the helm once again...
For the past couple of months I've been saying to myself "as soon as get a good shot for a challenge I'll sign back up"... I think it doesn't work that way. If I'm a member I'll work for the shot... So, in the tradition of the Irish immigrants, I'm throwing my hat over the wall, leaving myself no choice but to follow it...

This is quite true, at least for me. I can't seem to accomplish much of anything without a deadline, and sitting on the shore waiting for the ideal conditions is no way to go.

You know... there's like a butt-load of gangs at this site. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bo-staff.

At DPChallenge, we use the buddy system. No more flying solo. You need somebody watching your back at all times. Second off, you're gonna learn to discipline your image. You think I got where I am today because I dressed like Yo_Spiff over here?
