I'm not positive it would fit, but one of the small S-Biners might fit the attachment point on the side, and then you could clip it onto either your wrist or neck strap. I have some small ones at home, so I can check out how that works with my LX3 when I get home.
ETA: These little guys are pretty robust and I'd certainly trust them for this sort of application- I use them to lash things to my packs out in the wilderness all the time.
