Enter a picture of something amazing yet plausible, so the viewer isn't sure whether you achieved the picture through Expert editing or brilliance.
Think floating objects which might have been photoshopped or could have been hung in the picture with a string
Shoot a scene and add in a visual element that is digitally mastered (or vice versa) then make the viewers guess which is the non/digitally mastered element?
It was my suggestion. I was hoping we would have a roughly equal number of entries of photography tricks and editing tricks. Would be a great one for a gyaban / Graphicfunk matchup.
Now I just wish I had a specific idea for myself in mind. :/
Since I don't photoshop I've learned to avoid the expert challenges. Something about effort wasted on a guaranteed sub 6 score, and more likely a sub 5 score.
It is just not worth my time to make a rule lawyer get out their set of micro calipers and rulers as they measure the art to see if it is properly creative. Good luck guys!

i love expert challenges , but i may actually go outside the box and create a picture that isn't Photoshopped. i may have to harm a few animals in the process, but such is life.
I don't think people should be scared away by the Expert challenge ruleset.
The whole point about this one is that people should be confused whether advanced or expert editing was used. So those who are uncomfortable about Expert, shoot a good advanced picture!

Can't get over the intolerance of voters if the image does not look like a cartoon. I don't begrudge those who want to do this kind of thing, but it departs from the kind of photography I enjoy.
It seems my Female Portrait entry may have fooled some people into thinking the photo was real, and it was no more than advanced edit, when in fact it was extensively photoshopped.
Just give the blue to Gyaban and let's move on.....

Why are we seeing more expert editing? Is it what the members are asking for or is DPC going down a new avenue in hopes it'll attract more paying members with this type of editing?
I'll give this one a miss, there are lots of exceptions but generally speaking i don't like the look of expert edited shots, much prefer basic or even minimal.

the problem is so much is allowed in expert that people, like myself, take it to the extreme. but from the recent portrait challenge, the winners did an amazing job of not over editing the images.

To funny...Many members (not me) were asking repeatedly for more Expert/Minimal Editing challenges...ask and we received...now we complain...fickle bunch of people...(said in the most glowing of terms....)
