This is probably the most exciting capture I've ever gotten! We were on vacation and stopped at a wildlife refuge outside of atlantic city. There were swallows flying all around, and this one little swallow sitting on a stick.
The lighting was so wonderful, and the background was so beautifully blurred, I spent awhile shooting him:
While I was watching him, other swallows were flying by, and all of the sudden, he started moving around:
and as I watched (and shot), in comes the mom with a huge dragonfly! I didn't have my ISO turned up high enough, so the shots aren't perfect, but it was terribly exciting!!
