Anyone know anything about the Warehouse District in Los Angeles. I saw some cool pics on a friend's fb profile and I would love to go take pictures down there.

I guess what I am asking is the following:

am i going to be a target with camera gear hanging around my neck
where are the best spots
should i plan on walking most of it

and if there is anything you can add, i'd love to hear it

Generic advice for doing this anywhere ... take along a buddy (or two) and make sure you have cell phone coverage.

I regularly go to places where I shouldn't..

My best advice? Bring friends. Lots of them.

I never do, but, I carry myself in a manner that discourages would be problems - still I'm fully aware that I have been scoped out as a potential target at least six or seven times, and possibly many more that I didn't notice.

I also usually pack heat, but, that probably isn't particularly advisable unless you're licensed to do so.

Um, criminals don't care if they are licensed. And there is something called the 2nd amendment that authorizes me to pack heat ;-) You don't need no stinking license. You just need to know how to shoot.

And I would never go alone. I would take a few friends. But I just don't want to set myself up for trouble.
