No pun intended on the thread title. Got a new camera (FINALLY upgraded from that XTi). Been rather busy for a couple years but I finally renewed and I guess that means I'm back. Doubt many really remember me but I think I gave up right around the time Irenem went on her ribbon fest. I'm most known for these two shots.
Anyways time to shoot some pictures!
Anything major happened in the past 2 years? lol... I need to read old forums and see what new rules there are around here.
lets see i've been here two years we've had several "in the style of (member)" challenges that are all worth browsing (sherpet, nixter, bspurgeon and a 'win a posthumous ribbon' among others), there's been a dpl, we just started a wpl, oh, and there's numerous scoring threads where folks complain that their image is under-appreciated and then several that suggest voting changes to the system, that must be totally new right? :)
Well there was the Canon giveaway of An EOS 1Ds Mk III, for all paid member who had a Canon as their primary camera in their profile. Happened about two months ago. Don't tell us you missed it?
I believe the sizes changed after I left. I notice the images in challenges look larger. Tasty.
Yes, 800 pixels and 300k for all challenges now. Also, some plugins (Topaz or Nik plugins for example) are now allowed in basic editing, as long as you do not use the selective editing features of those plugins. We are also seeing more expert and minimal editing challenges and a third member challenge that rolls over Thurdsay/Friday (depending on your time zone of course)

Unless you're just lazy about updating your profile, it looks like you missed it yourself -- I know I did!

Yeah... It happened while my account was inactive. Just my luck... ;-)
