Welcome aboard. Jump on into the shark tank, the water is great today.
Q: With a screen name like that, are you related to the "Fat Controller" on Thomas the Tank Engine? (Renamed to "Mr. Toppham Hat" for the easily offended American market.)

That's funny. I agree with welcome aboard but no water here these days. Life is a bit hot and dry here in Texas. But, if you're willing to brave the summer heat then you should remember to bring some water with you when you go out with your favorite toy.....

Ha-haa. Some people have certainly confused me for a cousin of his or something. Ha. I think me and him could be great friends.
2. If "Yes", what are you a big, round, chancellor OF?
3. Are you any relation to the Rodney Fisk who died in poverty, in Boston, in June of 1896, having lost his entire fortune speculating on Wall Street?
4. If Your name is, indeed, Rodney Fiske, why do you call yourself "Chancy"?
5. Whereabouts are you located? I realize you might not want to pinpoint it precisely, but your country of residence would be good to know.
That'll do for starters...
R.
1. It's not a self portrait but a few more pies and I'm sure I won't be too far off. The hair is already pretty close.
2. I'm a chancellor of all that is good and safe in the world.
3. I'm certainly not, Ironic huh?
4. The name Chancy (or occasionally Chanso) is a nickname given to me by a group of my colleagues after a drunk night in Nottingham about 8 years ago or so where I claimed to be The Chancellor of the Exchequer to a group of young ladies (who believed me) and the nickname and joke just kind of stuck.

We could send you some of the water we get here from the UK rain Ha-Haa.
The camera looks like the lens would fit into the eyepiece holder of a telescope, so maybe that's the astronomer connection.
The side challenges are probably the best for meeting people here, and for getting feedback on your photos. I think that you can post a link to your off-site photos, like to "Photobucket," " Flikr" ect" since you don't have a paid account here yet.
Anyway, happy to have you here with us at DPC. Enjoy the site any way you wish.
