Last Monday two of my friends and I went on a 8.5 mi. r/t hike to a beautiful lake. I thought I'd share some pictures from that trip...
The trail started out pretty easily with lots of wooden bridges:
As we moved on the trail started getting rougher:
And rougher:
To the point where it almost disappeared completely:
It was worth the trip though. As I climbed over the final hill I was hit with the site of the most beautiful, secluded lake I have ever seen:
 
We continued to an area marked for day use:
where the birds were very friendly (if you had food!)
 
At the far end of the lake (it was only about 1/4 mile long) was a lovely marsh area and more views of the lake:
  
Since we didn't have all day (no camping gear) we only stayed a couple of hours. On the way back we stopped to see some nice little water falls:
 
It was truly a wonderful experience! I'm sure we will be going back for an overnight stay, as well as some additional hikes to other small lakes in the area!
