I haven't participated much here lately, life has just been busy, and I'm not shooting much that isn't paying me, so I'd like to start with some snapshots/slice of my life side challenges if there is much interests. No rules, no limits, just make sure that for every image you add that you comment on one for someone else. If there is no interests....well we will just let this fade into the abyss and pretend it never happened.
I work at a small newspaper as a photojournalist. They hired me after seeing my slice-of-life photos from Africa (Malawi). Since people love seeing themselves and their kids in print, most of the photos I do for the paper are slice-of-life stuff.
One of the local libraries held a Star-Wars-themed reading party the other day.
I should note that most of the stuff I do for the paper is overexposed on purpose because when you print on news paper, you're printing on grey paper, so stuff has to be really light to look good.
I didn't see this SC before Matt - I like it and I will participate .. I was trying to do the SC of layers but realized I am just not talented enough :(
My granddaughter has been after me to take her bike riding. Since her aunt was riding with me at the same age she is now, I started tuning up an old Miyata road bike for her. She did a few spins around the driveway on it this afternoon. She was surprised at the get up and go a bike like this has, since up till now she has only ridden department store mountain and BMX bikes.
