Ok I've been with verizon for a while. So now I see they are going the same way as AT&T and getting rid of unlimited data. If you already have unlimited data, do you think they will grandfather me in? Or should I go ahead and jump on my wife's sprint plan?

I'm sure you're good until the end of your contract, then they'll probably make you choose one of their options. I'd drop by a Verizon store and ask them how it's going to work if you already have unlimited data.

Sounds like you can keep your unlimited plan per this article: news article re Verizon unlimited plan.

I understand some of the telcos are allowing unlimited data, but throttling bandwidth at a certain point, usually a few Gigabytes. Might want to inquire about that.

I talked with a Verizon guy when I went over my minutes on my voice plan - he helped me with a temporary increase to prevent the overage charges. While talking about that, I asked about the unlimited data and he said as long as I stay with Verizon I'll keep my unlimited data. They are indeed grandfathering those who've had that on their plan, at least for now!

Guess I'll go to the store tomorrow and ask. The wife thinks it would be cheaper overall if I switched to Sprint with her. But I like my droid 2 and don't see a whole lot at Sprint that would I be happy with
