I don't know for sure, but I'd guess the artist uploads the original image and a list of steps and settings used -- the admins then follow the "recipe" and see if they come up with the same image.
It's a good reason to save your adjustments in a layer, and/or save any adjustment settings (Photoshop -- don't know if all the programs can do this). Also make a note of the sharpening settings (if any) you use, and any other steps needed to replicate your image. |
