In this circumstance you would need to make sure that the original you entered under Basic is not one of the source images used for the HDR version -- you would have to use a completely separate set of original source images.
Other than that, it is fine (legally) to use separate originals from the same shoot in different challenges, even if nearly identical; for example, shooting a still-life in burst mode ... however, as mentioned, people who vote in both challenges probably won't approve ... |
