I see in the rules that the following modifications are allowed:
Crop
Resize
Sharpen
Despeckle
Levels Adjustment (Levels, Auto-Levels)
Rotate Canvas (90 Degrees CW or CCW Only)
My question is this: for the Sharpen, Despeckle and Levels Adjustment, are these to be applied to the entire canvas only or can they be aplplied to just selections? Within Paint Shop Pro (my editor of choice) you can select an area within the photo and apply these adjustments selectively.
My gut tells me that for the purposes of this type of competition these types of corrections should only be applied to an entire canvas, not specific parts, but I figured it was worth asking, and maybe being clarified in the rules.
