Here is one out of my collection. This was at Lake Placid Florida. I noticed it in a wider shot, then got this one the next time I was there.
And another one from Santa Fe, NM.

I was on a bus in Malaysia once when I saw a baker's shop called 'Soon Phat'. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture...

Yeah, going out of business signs often work well ...
Not billboards, but the juxtaposition is what makes the scene ...
