What one comment do you remember most or has become your favorite? Mine was for this shot early in my career here at dpc, 3rd challenge i had entered. It was from JPR and it stuck with me i think because it boosted my confidence and i think it was my first fav:
"This is GREAT. I would shoot something like this, but with real beer, and it wouldn't be anywhere near as GREAT as this! I would also have left out the peanuts like the idiot that I am. 10 and favorite."
Without a doubt this one from Skip wow! nice work! there are only a handful of people on this site that are capable of a shot like that and you're one of them. excellent!
This one from Scott (bohemka):
"Awesome job. Sure, he's about to ski backwards off the peak, but he's prepared, with his rope and radish helmet. Honestly a radish helmet might be the safest of all, as who the heck would eat them? Nice poles, great skis. Awesome job on this."

I have received many great comments but this one from aliqui was my very first comment on my very first challenge entry and is still one of my favorites.

Cute photo. There's a bit of an awkward composition, but it works very well here. You're immediately drawn to the cuteness, but then wonder, "What's the little tyke looking at?" Your eyes travel across the full length of the photo and then, surprise, "...holy crap, that's huge!" "

Whenever I feel down about my photography I just go and read that and feel more appreciated again
I am breaking some rules again but I thought I will add my most fav serious comment by spiritualspatula:
"The person in this is great, and especially the color of their coat. It sorta blends in with the plants, sorta not. My eyes traveled down the glacier, sallying this way and that. After being brought to the bottom, I crept back up the cliffs, discovering the fellow. It was as if I stumbled upon this moment, his viewing, and became party to his awe."
It makes me transcend the photograph and be there again. Wonderful feeling. Thanks.

"1940's sci-fi. Yikes, watch out. Love the detail on the scales here. Lighting is terrific, and that claw amazing. This is the perfect type of motion still type photography. You'll probably get pounded by the head police, but I like how you can just see a bit of the lower jaw. It makes your imagination run wild what the thing really look like. Roar! High rated."

"I find myself revisiting this image time and time again. While the angle and the perspective play major roles making this image successful, it is the filter creating the blur that really strikes the imbalance for me; I hate it and love it simultaneously. What better definition of out of balance? It feels overdone and uncomfortable, but in this contest would be less complete without it. I would never process this way and accept this as a final product for one of my own images, but that is exactly why it resonates with me so much!"

Sure, you love them all now, but what if Snippy or some Snippy-copycat arose from the grave and started peppering your precious pictures with his precocious and piquant panegyrics? It'd be to the complaints department!

From paulbtlw I've refused to be impressed by landscape images this month but how can I resist this one? The difference here is that I get the feeling of photographic involvement, not just the capturing of a scene. Your POV is so important in conveying a crafted feel - move your camera 1 foot in any direction and your image would be less effective. Your processing (is it HDR? if so, it certainly isn't over-done) is really excellent.
Optimised in a way many images aren't. Impressive work.
(By way of excusing my opening comment - I do appreciate that landscape work is hard - mine are useless; but nonetheless - few evoke a sense of the photographer as this one does).)
