What challenge? Purple? It was a tough challenge..I however didn't enter in to it as I was not a memeber yet.. What did you rank?
If I would have been able to enter I would have entered this..


Probably would have been DQ'd cuz of the swirls..but I like this one..

Crystal, good effort. The swirls in the sky put me in mind of
Van Gogh's starry night painting.

There's a big exhibition in Melbourne (Australia) at the moment of the Impressionists, on loan from France. I saw it on the weekend - it has one of the Van Gogh "Starry Night" pictures in it.

I couldn't believe my eyes - seeing it for real is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen - all the hair stood up on the back of my neck. A picture in a book is *nothing* like it at all. If you ever get a chance to see a real Van Gogh you should do it. It's an amazing experience.

I doubt I ever will get to see it...but I would love to. I'm sure the texture of the painting made it even more incredible than it already is. My grandmother has a painting of Sunflowers with the texture and all and even has Van Gogh signature on it. I'm sure it's just a remake or something..Can't be an original.
