It is possible to lose comments.
Have you adjusted your portfolio (i.e added or removed photos?) recently? Sometimes it appears to take sometime for the 'comments received statistics' to update. If a photo that you had comments on was removed, you would lose those.
Alternatively, someone that left you a comment has had their account cancelled or removed recently.
Third, if someone had left you a comment during voting and later removed it, the comment could also go away....
But you better check again, I think you have 620. ;-P
