I put FILM in the subject ok :-)

I have an OLD (ain't kidding here) camera that used 116 roll film.....

Anyone know if I can get away using 120 film.. I suspect I will have to roll it back onto the smaller 120 roll once it's run thru...... I will lose some of the frame I understand.... like a crop sensor in the full frame body :-)

You can not. 116 film is 2.5" wide instead of 2.25" like 120 film. It won't fit on the feeding mechanism of the 116 camera.

Thx - That link helped..... I would let it run onto the 116 roll then I will manually roll it back onto the 120 roll in a dark bag so I don't loose the 116 spool when it's developed :-) (not planning on DIY devl right now).

I can see the catch will be the advancing distance.... and maybe the window in the back of the camera which I had not given any thought to.... Humm... some paper with distance marks seems in my future first :-) but seem like I need to tape that little window in the back of the camera... not that the markers would line up anyway. Question is - wonder if there is enough tension to keep the narrower roll of 120 straight enough not to get caught up.....
