I just wanted to thank everyone for an incredible 2 years. I've learned so much over that time: incredible amounts of photoshop and elements information, topaz, Silver Efex, viveza.
In the 216 challenges entered:
I've painted with light.
Photographed SPAM
Made my daughter stand out in the rain for prolonged periods of time (or just sprayed her with the hose)
Asked people I've never met before if I could take their photograph. Not only that, but if they'd pose for it, as well (the ump)
Laid in the middle of a busy neighborhood street in the rain (unfortunately my own neighborhood) while cars drove passed me multiple times (one car drove by 4 times!) trying to figure out what I was doing.
Taken pictures of death and destruction
Did fun things with long exposures
explored places that I'd never been before, simply because of a challenge
Dang, if I could only have stats like that in 2 years. I've been here about 7 years and I don't even have a tenth of the ribbons etc. Congrats on your 2 years BTW!
What a great thread, Wendy. Congratulations on not only your accomplishments, but the enjoyment you get out of participating. You're a big part of the site and we're all richer for your presence. Still no blue for a seagull, though. Slacker!

I did try to figure out how to bring earth, wind, rain, & fire in with seagulls. But I figured that only Art Roflmao could accomplish that!
Seriously, though... I just wanted to thank everyone. It was a lot of fun looking through the past two years of photos and seeing just what this site has made me do.

I bought a rubber ducky.
If I could have found a vegetable, I was seriously considering (and probably would have!!) asking a beefeater to hold up the veggie in one hand, and the rubber duckie hanging by the rope in the other hand, and would have labeled it: "what we do to vegetable thieves!"
Do you think he would have done it?
I couldn't believe what this site has done to warp my sensibilities so much!
