I went to the Grand Canyon recently and took some pics...
I am lost as to how to edit them...
I've tried HDR and tonemapping and exposure blending mixed with a bit of Topaz as well as just editing one pic at a time in aperture and photoshop cs5....
I can't seem to get it right and i don't know what i am doing wrong...
part of the problem is that i don't think the framing of the shots is very good and there is a TON of freaking sensor dust in the sky...
i don't know if there is much potential, but the experience i had while visiting the grand canyon was so overwhelming, i'd really like to have a couple good pics come out of it... (I was COMPLETELY blown away by the beauty, grandeur and vastness of the canyon that I was literally choking back tears and speechless... I've never seen something so completely magnificent in my life...)
Let me upload some to my portfolio and maybe someone can give some guidance...
I think if someone could just guide me a little, I would be able to finish the rest of my pics on my own... I have a ton more on my computer...
I think a lot of the problem may stem from the haziness of the shots, which is totally out of your control (well... short of coming back with better conditions). I'll tool around with it a bit later- they remind me of shots that I took flying over the GC from my airplane window... same issue with the haze.
