People live longer than before,
but the stuff we buy:
breaks quicker and goes obsolete faster.
I'm trying to think of something that goes against this theory.
Can anyone think of a product that lasts longer than a similar product you might have purchased 30 years ago?
True … but I really would like to have a car that wouldn't need a new exhaust every 3 years …
I suppose the answer comes in the form of a Nissan Leaf …?

This is a good point, but it doesn't just go for cars. Tvs, appliances, etc are all made with stuff that can't be easily fixed. Even many toys can't be fixed as easily in the past.

...only proves one thing...George never used military issue toilet paper.
