For all those Canon users out there... if you could choose 3 lenses to keep in your bag, what would they be? I'm just looking to see what everyones favorite 3 lenses are.

Well that would be one answer...

...and that would be another answer entirely, LOL!
Seriously, if I had to keep just three lenses, I would be looking at versatility, so I might choose:
1.) Canon 24-70/2.8L
2.) Canon 70-200/2.8L IS
3.) Toss-up between Canon 400/5.6L or Canon 100/2.8 Macro, or perhaps Canon 15/2.8 Fisheye
Now, when you talk about *favorite* lenses, then the list looks somewhat different!
1.) Canon 135/2.0L
2.) Canon 24/1.4L
3.) Canon 70-200/2.8L
All in all, the second list would not make a good kit, but those are my top favs.
A) 10-22, 70-300 DO and 17-40 for travelling light (read compact)
B) 10-22, 28-135, 100-400 for the most coverage (and if weight and size wasn't an issue)
C) 10-22, 70-300 DO if the midrange is not required or I'd throw in the 50mm 1.8 for the middle bit
I'll chose your 'B' option. Those 3 are with me all of the time. The 100-400 being used the most.

Depends on the situation. When I need the widest range, I carry a 10-22, 24-105 and 100-400. If weight is an issue, I'll use a 70-200 for the long lens and throw in a 1.4xTC. For portraits or low-light situations, I swap the first two lenses for an 85mm f/1.8 and Tamron 20-75 f/2.8 (can't afford a Canon 24-70), and of course macro work demands the 100mm.
My backpack almost always contains these three lenses...
70-200mm f/2.8L
17-40mm f/4L
100mm f/2.8
I also carry the 1.4x and 2.0x TC's, and both Canon extension tubes for bringing things closer. I don't think any of these count as lenses through.
I'd like to add a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L to fill-in the 40mm-to-70mm gap, and the new Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM sounds like an awesome lens for adding extra reach without totally breaking the bank.
Probably the 600 f/4L, the 1200 f/5.6L, and the Sigma 200-500 f/2.8, that way whenever I happened to need a car, or a house, I could just sell a lens and buy what I needed...
Otherwise, if I was actually shooting with them....
Dream:
300mm f/2.8
85mm f/1.2
100mm f/2.8L IS Macro
Reality:
100-400mm L IS
15-85mm IS
100mm Macro
In truth, that could really just be pared down to the 15-85mm, as it pretty much does everything that I "need" a lens to do... And does it pretty darn well...
I have started down the route of purchasing some L glass.
1) 17-40 - From Santa this year...woohoo!
2) 24-105 - I like the range of my 28-135, and this would be a comparable replacement for that focal length while a big improvement in quality. I think this would be a great walkaround lens.
3) 70-200 - Someday!
