Anybody know? Am I going to get extra radiation all day in my office now? It's on the roof of the building next door. Photo is out my window on the 17th floor.
My best guess is that it is an antenna for transmitting data across a wide area network. I did an image search and saw some that looked very similar though not identical.

They may have two office buildings within line of sight, and this is an easy and effective way of doing it.
Yup - it's a microwave antenna. We use them for shooting large bandwidth between two line-of-sight locations.
And no... it won't cook anything (unless you stand right in front of it for extended periods) ;O)
It is actually a Tartan Ski hat magnetiser, note the man wearing said headgear and notice that when this device is activated the ear flags begin to rise. When they meet at the top, he will vanish in a tartan poof!
