This might be better as a side challenge since it takes the photographer honor in complying with the rules. (not to say we don't have honor, lets say more like keeping within the spirit of the challenge). I saw a NCIS rerun the other day which a blind photographer roamed the city taking pictures only by the sound and smells he followed. Maybe something like this might be enlightening to all of us. For my first time suggesting a challenge, it's way out there...Lol.
Rules; advance editing. The photographer must wear a blind fold when taking pictures. Camera settings: TV @ 1/125, lowest to closest to iso 100. auto or manual focus. From there it's up to you.
Almost impossible to enforce is why I'm thinking maybe better as a side challenge. The idea is to use your senses instead of sight so we might need a seeing eye person to navigate the city or area you want to roam.

Just to modify this slightly, how about a shot from the hip challenge? Take your best shot from the hip. I do this on occasion and you get some really cool angles. The benefit of this (over blind fold) is that you can kinda tell when someone shoots from the hip. Even if the photog squats down and looks through the view finder you still get that angle.
Actually in the show the guy did his own processing, he shot film. Also more/less shot from the hip. Would be interesting to shoot somewhere you know well and try something like this.
Interesting. Two of my cameras don't have manual focusing; since all digitals have autofocus - except when attached to non auto focusable lenses, I see no harm in autofocus. Already I am imagining myself suddenly or partially or temporarily blind: with blind aids - maybe a dog, maybe a stick which will provide echoes. My ears are pricked up and out, my face and nose testing the wind. How many times am I allowed to press the shutter release? How do I review my pics? This is all falling apart on me.
Ya it is...Lol. I guess I 'd be more interested in seeing the capture more then how you process, in film you could just drop it off at the nearest drug store if you wanted too. Not all people that are blind were born that way. What if we did go blind, would we take the same images? The more I thought about, either way auto focus too. The shots could be blurry on there own..Lol. I think I'll just stay thinking about it and try something when the time is right.

This is an interesting idea. When you figure out all the rules I might be interested in trying it out. I think I'd rather do it at home than in the city though! My mother was pretty close to blind (legally blind) before she passed away. She kept right on taking photos (camera on autofocus). She used film and had it processed commercially. The results were very mixed.
