Had a marvellous time and took about a million photographs!
Can't let you know what I think of the Nikon D70 until I actually download the images from the X-Drive and have a good look through them but it was certainly a pleasure to use and the battery life is PHENOMENAL!
We spent 5 weeks in South Africa, self driving from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth and then from Durban, around KZN and up through Kruger. Then we flew to Botswana for a luxury safari in the Linyanti, Delta and Kalahari before finishing in Namibia by renewing our wedding vows in a fairy circle in the Namib Desert.
Looking forward to viewing the challenges I missed and catching up with DPC news and friends.

This sounds like a marvellous holiday you had. I am glad you enjoyed your stay in South Africa, as I spent 28 years in Cape Town. I have seen almost everything one can see in SA and will be there again, though only for three weeks, in November. First we will tour the Kruger park, where I hope to shoot some good nature pictures. I hope the DPChallence will have suitable subjects during this period. After the Kruger we will go down to Cape Town to visit family and friends.
I am a Swiss citizen and returned to live in Switzerland some 5 years ago.
Maybe one day we will be visiting London
