I was just cleaning out our spare bedroom at the house and came across 3 boxes filled with old photos from high school, college, old parties and the sort. They are all on 4x6's, some I still have the negatives to, but most of which are just the old photos themeselves. What the heck do you do with all of them? Stick em back into the boxes and bury them as deep as possible in the basement until you or someone else comes across them again of course. Well, I would love to scan them into a harddrive and then burn them all!
Is there any way to get a superior quality scan out of a 4x6 photo yet? I know with the digital negative scanners, they do a pretty decent job, but what about all of the photos that don't have negatives anymore. I tried to do it on my all purpose printer, scanner, fax machine but the quality really blew. Anything out there anyone can recommend- or is there even a service that does it?
