I guess I didn't understand the challenge. Just having a quick look, it's mostly a free study, and "shape" can mean anything under the sun. I should have entered this one.
Unfortunately, DPC is not educated enough (in photography) to understand challenges well (so it seems). We're ordinary people, voting for... well, *whatever*.
This is going to be a tough one to vote on. How narrowly do I read the topic. Everything has a shape, but at what point is the shape of the object not the most prominent feature? Well, I have all week to think about it.
After voting on both this one and the complimentary colors, I found a surprising number of people who had a very loose interpretation of the challenge. There were some really nice photos that I just didn't know what to do with because, in my opinion, they used the challenges as a free study and didn't specifically address the subject.
First time I looked at the images... This is one of the worst challanges for sometime now. Unfortunately I couldn't see much photo related to subject, rather "anything goes" stuff... not even free study!
