Hey Paul, I love the River shot. The only thing I'd change would be the branches hanging in the the middle of the shot. Didn't your Mom tell you to bring a chainsaw with you at all times when you go for a nature walk. Lol. Just kidding. Need coffee. Great shot.
I really like the flag shot. I'm a fellow Canadian,so I'm biased but I still think it's a nice shot. Makes me proud of drinking Tim Horton's coffee the gallon.
Having said that, you must realise that these shots are very nice, however probably wouldn't do too well in our challenges, in terms of high placement, because they don't have that great big Wow to them. It doesn't mean they aren't nice shots.
Keep your stick on the ice, and remember don't eat the yellow snow (Red Green, great Canadian guy).
