I don't know what's going on, the camera just shuts off (have it set to shuting down after a minute of non use), but doesn't turn back on until remove and reinsert the battery. I don't think that's normal.

Besides a sore back I'd doing pretty well health wise, but you're right, having your health is more important than some little technical problems.
