I am very pleased that someone chose my last challenge entry as one of their favorites. In my profile, the favorite count on that entry is 1 but when I open it up to see who chose my photo, there are actually 2 people who chose it. I noticed when the challenge was being scored that one person chose it as a favorite during voting. Is that the why the count is only 1 and not 2?

Yes, it is because of the new (and often-requested) feature of being able to add to favorites during the challenge. The admins are aware of the issue; hopefully they'll get it fixed soon. FYI, this bug has also been discussed in this thread.
