This is absouloutly brilliant but how did they do it? i mean...the shape and motion...yet so still? haha

Hired ectoplasm. Not cheap or easy to work with but worth it in the end.

When I saw it I suspected a creative edit which is what the photo is listed as. I'm guessing he took the shot of the splash and then composited the rest in.
