One of the nicest ways to meet people here and enjoy sharing feedback is to get in any of the side challenges. One of the enjoyable "anything goes" side challenges is going on this month if you want to join in or just read through the thread to see how it works. There is an explanation in the thread about how to post thumbnails in a thread. There are no scores in the side challenges, which makes it a lot more relaxed than it is to start right off in one of the regular challenges.
To post images from your computer to your portfolio, you first size them to 640 or 800 pixels on the longest side, so they don't use up all your portfolio space too fast, then put them in a file in your computer. To upload, use the "my portfolio" button in the dropdown below "My Home" in the top bar and follow the links there. Help is easy to get here, so any questions will be thoroughly confused with multiple answers.
