I've seen it before, but definitely worth another viewing. I am taking photographs of a joint British Amy Medical Services and American pre-mobilisation hospital training exercise soon.

That's incredible depth of field for a macro. Would love to see what equipment he used and if he used multiple images to achieve the dof.

Just to the right of that macro there's a pro tip dialogue box with a link.

He stacks images to get that crazy dof.

Got to love that wooden tripod.

I wonder how he got the ant to hold still for multiple exposures. Even getting one shot at that magnification is very difficult with a live insect.

The ant is likely dead, I noticed a few of the shots he has on his Flickr page are of dead insects. But it looks like he has several great stacked shots of live bugs as well and it seems he gets them in the early, cool mornings with dew that keeps them immobile.
