All of us do some traveling, so this site is one that you may find interesting if not useful at some time in the future.
Bed Bug Registry

You can check to see if there have been any bedbug reports in the places you plan to visit, or file a report if you find you have been bitten by them while traveling.

Oh my! My aunt had the unfortunate experience of traveling to Chicago, where apparently they brought them home in her luggage. What a nightmare for her. They ended up having to tear out their carpet, throw out their furniture, etc. Not to mention the small fortune she paid for an exterminator. In all I think it took them about a month to get rid of them.
