That's a pretty interesting review of the views on and uses of property over time, and I hadn't heard of the Charter of the Forest before. But as an argument for expansion or reintroduction of commons, it seems a bit flimsy--it wanders too much to be called an argument, which it really only gets to in parts of the last two paragraphs.
If anyone still thinks that the Indians were savages who just lived off the wild land, then definitely they should read this article. Interesting to note that Europeans never actually saw North America in a "wild" state; it had been cultivated and maintained since long before white people set foot on it.
